Administer orally via drinking water. Ensure thorough mixing and that medicated water is the sole source of drinking water during treatment. For individual animals, administer as an oral drench.

Tetracycline inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by reversibly binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing the attachment of aminoacyl-tRNA to the ribosomal acceptor site. This action is primarily bacteriostatic.

• •Animals with known hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
• •Animals with severe hepatic or renal dysfunction.
• •Young animals during tooth development due to risk of discoloration.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

In cases of overdose, supportive and symptomatic treatment should be provided. Reversible renal tubular necrosis has been reported with very high doses.

Use with caution in pregnant or lactating animals. Tetracyclines can cross the placental barrier and are excreted in milk, potentially affecting fetal bone and tooth development.
