Tezolin tablets should be swallowed whole with or without food. Taking it with food may help reduce gastrointestinal upset.

Tezolin selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which is responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in inflammation, pain, and fever. By inhibiting COX-2, it reduces the production of these inflammatory mediators, thereby providing analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects with a lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to non-selective NSAIDs.

Store in a cool, dry place, below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms of overdose may include lethargy, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, and epigastric pain. In rare cases, hypertension, acute renal failure, respiratory depression, and coma may occur. Management is primarily supportive and symptomatic. Gastric decontamination (e.g., activated charcoal or gastric lavage) may be considered within four hours of ingestion.

Pregnancy Category C (first and second trimesters), Category D (third trimester). Avoid in late pregnancy due to potential for premature closure of the ductus arteriosus and effects on fetal renal function. Consult a doctor before use during lactation; a decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or discontinue the drug, taking into account the importance of the drug to the mother.
