Description
Overview of the medicine
TGdrop 100 mg Tablet is a medication primarily used to lower high levels of triglycerides in the blood. It works by altering lipid metabolism to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases associated with dyslipidemia.
Uses & Indications
Dosage

How to Take
Take orally, once daily with a main meal to enhance absorption and reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
Mechanism of Action
TG Regulator acts by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α), which leads to increased synthesis of lipoprotein lipase and decreased production of apoC-III, thereby enhancing the catabolism of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins (VLDL and chylomicrons) and reducing their plasma levels.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
Lipid-lowering effects begin within days, maximal effects seen after 2-4 weeks.
Excretion
Mainly excreted in urine (approximately 70%) and feces (approximately 25%) as metabolites.
Half life
Approximately 20 hours.
Absorption
Well absorbed orally, enhanced with food. Peak plasma concentration reached within 2-4 hours.
Metabolism
Primarily metabolized in the liver via glucuronidation.
