Overview of the medicine
Tifsi 1 mg Syrup contains Tifsidol, a novel non-sedating H1 antihistamine, used to relieve symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older: 10 ml (2 mg) once daily.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment generally required, but caution advised.
Renal_impairment
Mild to moderate renal impairment: 5 ml (1 mg) once daily. Severe impairment: Not recommended.
How to Take
Administer orally, with or without food. Use a measuring spoon or oral syringe for accurate dosing.
Mechanism of Action
Tifsidol selectively antagonizes peripheral H1 receptors, thereby inhibiting the effects of histamine and reducing allergic symptoms such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, pruritus, and watery eyes.
