UAC-100 mg Tablet is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the relief of mild to moderate pain, fever, and inflammation. It is commonly prescribed for conditions like headaches, dental pain, menstrual cramps, and musculoskeletal pain.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
100 mg every 4-6 hours as needed, not exceeding 400 mg in 24 hours.
Elderly
Lower doses may be required; consult a physician. Max 200 mg/day.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution; dosage reduction may be necessary. Not recommended for severe impairment.
How to Take
Take orally with a glass of water, preferably with food or milk to minimize gastrointestinal upset.
Mechanism of Action
UAC acts by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which is responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are mediators of pain, inflammation, and fever. By reducing prostaglandin production, UAC helps to alleviate these symptoms.
