Mechanism of Action
Mometasone Furoate is a synthetic corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive properties. It induces phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins, lipocortins, which control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor arachidonic acid.

Half life
Systemic half-life not well established due to minimal absorption; eliminated rapidly if absorbed.
