Dosage
Adults
One 300 mg vaginal suppository inserted deep into the vagina as a single dose, preferably at bedtime.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment is required for elderly patients.

How to Take
Insert the vaginal suppository deep into the vagina, preferably at bedtime. It is a single-dose treatment.
Mechanism of Action
Sertaconazole nitrate inhibits ergosterol synthesis, a vital component of the fungal cell membrane, leading to increased permeability and eventual lysis of the fungal cell. It also directly damages the fungal cell membrane, exerting both fungistatic and fungicidal effects.
