Zifday 50 mg Capsule is an anxiolytic medication used to treat generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks. It works by enhancing the reuptake of serotonin in the brain, helping to stabilize mood and reduce feelings of anxiety.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial dose 50 mg once daily, may be increased to 100 mg daily based on response. Taken with or without food.
Elderly
Initial dose 25 mg once daily, carefully titrated based on clinical response and tolerability.
Renal_impairment
No dose adjustment needed for mild to moderate impairment. For severe impairment, start with 25 mg daily.
How to Take
Take the capsule orally with a glass of water, once daily, with or without food. Do not chew or crush the capsule.
Mechanism of Action
Zifday (Ziphenhydramine) selectively enhances the reuptake of serotonin (5-HT) in the central nervous system, leading to increased extracellular serotonin levels and improved synaptic neurotransmission. This modulation of serotonergic activity helps to alleviate anxiety symptoms.

Side Effects
Contraindications

Pregnancy & Lactation
Use during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Not recommended during breastfeeding as it may be excreted in breast milk.
