Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
250-500 mg every 8 hours, depending on the severity of infection.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment required unless renal function is impaired.

How to Take

Mechanism of Action
Acoxacillin inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to cell lysis and bacterial death. It is bactericidal.
