Apnac (Nifedipine) is a calcium channel blocker used to treat hypertension and angina.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
20 mg three times daily, may be increased gradually up to 120 mg/day.
Elderly
Lower initial dose of 10 mg three times daily, titrate slowly.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution, no specific dosage adjustment needed.
How to Take
Administer orally, with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Nifedipine inhibits the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, resulting in vasodilation and reduced myocardial contractility.
