Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
20-40 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks
Elderly
Lower end of the dosing range

No dosage adjustment is generally necessary.
How to Take
Take orally before meals or as directed by the physician.
Mechanism of Action
Esomeprazole suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of the H+/K+-ATPase in the gastric parietal cell.
