Aspirel (Acetylsalicylic Acid) is an antiplatelet agent used to prevent blood clots.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
75-150 mg once daily
Elderly
75 mg once daily, adjust based on renal function
Renal_impairment
Use with caution, adjust based on creatinine clearance
How to Take
Swallow the tablet whole with water, preferably after food.
Mechanism of Action
Irreversibly inhibits cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) enzyme, thus preventing the formation of thromboxane A2.
