Axofyl 200 mg Tablet is a bronchodilator used to prevent and treat symptoms of asthma, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. It helps to relax the muscles in the airways, making breathing easier.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initially 200 mg twice daily, adjusted based on clinical response and plasma levels. Max 400 mg twice daily.
Elderly
Lower initial doses (e.g., 100 mg twice daily) recommended due to reduced clearance; adjust with caution and monitor plasma levels.
Renal_impairment
No specific dose adjustment for mild to moderate impairment. Monitor closely in severe cases; hepatic metabolism is more critical.
How to Take
Take orally with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole; do not chew, crush, or break it. Take consistently at the same time each day.
