Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
250-500 mg every 6-12 hours, up to 4 g/day for severe infections. For Cefadyl DS 500mg, typical adult dose is 500mg twice daily.
Elderly
Adjust dose based on renal function.

Dose reduction necessary; e.g., CrCl 10-25 mL/min: 250 mg every 12 hours.
How to Take
Can be taken with or without food. Take with food if stomach upset occurs.
