For oral administration. Shake the bottle well before each use. Can be taken with or without food.

Cefixime works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death.

• •Known hypersensitivity to cefixime or any other cephalosporin antibiotics.
• •History of severe hypersensitivity reaction to penicillin.

Store dry powder below 30°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Reconstituted suspension should be stored in a refrigerator (2-8°C) and discarded after 7 or 14 days (check specific product leaflet).

In case of overdose, gastric lavage may be indicated. Supportive therapy, including fluid and electrolyte balance, is recommended. Hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis is not effective in removing cefixime from the body.

Use in pregnancy only if clearly needed. Cefixime is excreted in small amounts in breast milk; caution should be exercised when administered to a nursing mother. Consult a physician.
