Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One tablet (Cinnarizine 20 mg + Dimenhydrinate 40 mg) 2-3 times daily, preferably after meals. Do not exceed 3 tablets per day.
Elderly
Same as adults, with caution. Close monitoring for adverse effects is recommended.
Renal_impairment

How to Take
Take orally with water, preferably after meals to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Do not chew or crush the tablet.
Mechanism of Action
Cinnarizine is a calcium channel blocker and antihistamine that inhibits vestibular stimulation. Dimenhydrinate is an H1-receptor antagonist with antiemetic and anticholinergic properties. The combination works synergistically to suppress vestibular function and reduce nausea and vomiting.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
Onset of action typically occurs within 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Excretion
Primarily excreted in the urine, with some fecal excretion.
Half life
Cinnarizine has a plasma half-life of approximately 4 hours. Dimenhydrinate's half-life is around 4-6 hours.
Absorption
Both cinnarizine and dimenhydrinate are well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration.
Metabolism
Both drugs are extensively metabolized in the liver.
