Overview of the medicine
Dapclin 7.5% Gel contains dapsone and is used topically to treat inflammatory lesions of acne vulgaris. It helps to reduce redness and swelling associated with acne.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Apply a thin layer to affected areas once daily. Rub in gently and completely.
Elderly
No specific dosage adjustment required. Use as per adult dosage.

How to Take
For topical use only. Cleanse the skin thoroughly and pat dry before application. Apply a pea-sized amount to affected areas and rub in gently until absorbed. Wash hands after application.
Mechanism of Action
Dapsone is a sulfone antibiotic with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Its mechanism in acne involves inhibiting neutrophil chemotaxis, reducing inflammation, and possibly inhibiting the growth of *Cutibacterium acnes* (formerly *Propionibacterium acnes*).
