Dipan 05 mg Tablet contains Diazepam, a benzodiazepine, used to treat anxiety, insomnia, seizures, and muscle spasms.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Anxiety: 2-10 mg, 2-4 times daily. Insomnia: 5-15 mg at bedtime. Muscle spasm: 2-10 mg, 3-4 times daily.
Elderly
Lower doses, e.g., 2-2.5 mg, 1-2 times daily, to be increased cautiously.
Renal_impairment
No specific dose adjustment recommended, but use with caution.
How to Take
Oral, with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Diazepam enhances the effect of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABAA receptor, leading to sedative, anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, and muscle relaxant properties.
