Enigma 100 mg tablet is a medication used to treat generalized anxiety disorder and major depressive disorder. It works by balancing certain neurotransmitters in the brain.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initially 50 mg once daily, may be increased to 100 mg after 1 week. Maximum 200 mg daily.
Elderly
Lower initial dose (e.g., 25 mg once daily) and slower titration, maximum 100 mg daily.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment needed for mild to moderate impairment; use with caution in severe impairment.
How to Take
Take orally with or without food, preferably at the same time each day. Do not crush or chew the tablet.
Mechanism of Action
Enigmatine Hydrobromide selectively inhibits the reuptake of the neurotransmitter 'Enigma-Serotonin' in the synaptic cleft, leading to increased 'Enigma-Serotonin' concentration and enhanced neurotransmission.

Onset
Anxiolytic effects may start within a few days, full antidepressant effects within 2-4 weeks.

Mainly renal, with some fecal excretion.

Approximately 20-24 hours.

Rapidly absorbed from the GI tract, peak plasma concentration reached within 2-4 hours.

Side Effects
Contraindications
- •Hypersensitivity to enigmatine or any component of the formulation
- •Concomitant use with MAOIs (Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors)
Drug Interactions
MAOIs
Risk of serotonin syndrome. Avoid concomitant use.
NSAIDs
Increased risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Warfarin
May increase anticoagulant effect; monitor INR.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, tremor, tachycardia, and in severe cases, seizures and coma. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive, maintain airway, consider activated charcoal.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy Category C. Use only if potential benefit justifies potential risk to the fetus. Excreted in breast milk, use with caution in nursing mothers.
