Description
Overview of the medicine
Eytex-01-03 Eye Drop is an ophthalmic solution containing Naphazoline Hydrochloride and Pheniramine Maleate. It is used to relieve redness, itching, and irritation associated with allergic conjunctivitis.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
1-2 drops in the affected eye(s) 3-4 times daily, or as directed by a physician.

How to Take
For ophthalmic use only. Tilt head back, pull down lower eyelid, and instill drops into the conjunctival sac. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any other surface.
Mechanism of Action
Naphazoline acts as a sympathomimetic agent, causing vasoconstriction of conjunctival blood vessels, thereby reducing redness. Pheniramine is an antihistamine that blocks H1 receptors, reducing histamine-mediated itching and swelling.

Primarily via urine if systemically absorbed.
Half life
Not well-defined for topical ocular use; systemic half-life of naphazoline is short.
