Flustat 5 mg Syrup is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies and chronic urticaria. It helps to alleviate sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, and skin rash.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10 ml (5 mg) once daily
Elderly
No dosage adjustment generally required, but caution in renal/hepatic impairment.
Renal_impairment
For severe renal impairment, dose every other day.
How to Take
Can be taken with or without food. Use a measuring spoon or oral syringe for accurate dosing.
Mechanism of Action
Desloratadine is a long-acting tricyclic histamine antagonist with selective H1-receptor antagonist activity. It prevents histamine from binding to H1 receptors, thereby reducing allergic symptoms.
