G-Hyoscine 10 mg Tablet contains Hyoscine Butylbromide, an antispasmodic agent used to relieve cramps or spasms of the stomach, intestines, and bladder.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Oral: 10-20 mg three to five times daily. Max 100 mg/day.
Elderly
Similar to adult dose, but caution is advised in elderly patients with existing conditions like prostatic hypertrophy or narrow-angle glaucoma.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution; dose adjustment may be necessary in severe renal impairment. Consult a physician.
How to Take
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Can be taken with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Hyoscine Butylbromide acts by blocking the muscarinic acetylcholine receptors in the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, and biliary tract, leading to relaxation and relief of spasms.
