Jpdrox 200 mg Suspension is an antibiotic medication containing Cefadroxil, a first-generation cephalosporin. It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections in the body.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Typically 500 mg - 1 g once or twice daily, depending on infection severity. For suspension, dosage adjusted based on strength and volume.
Elderly
Similar to adult dosage, but caution with renal impairment; dose adjustment may be necessary.
Renal_impairment
Dose interval and/or amount must be modified based on creatinine clearance.
How to Take
Administer orally. Can be taken with or without food. Shake the suspension well before each use. Complete the full course of medication as prescribed.
Mechanism of Action
Cefadroxil is a bactericidal antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to cell lysis and death.
