Prucalopride is a selective, high-affinity 5-HT4 receptor agonist that stimulates colonic motility, leading to increased bowel movements and reduced transit time. It enhances propulsive colonic motility by stimulating serotonin 5-HT4 receptors in the gastrointestinal tract.

• •Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
• •Intestinal perforation or obstruction.
• •Obstructive ileus.
• •Severe inflammatory conditions of the intestinal tract (e.g., Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, toxic megacolon).

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms may include headache, nausea, and diarrhea. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive.

Pregnancy: Use only if clearly needed and the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. Limited human data. Lactation: Prucalopride is excreted in breast milk. A risk to the suckling child cannot be excluded. Decision to discontinue breastfeeding or prucalopride should be made considering benefit of breastfeeding and benefit of therapy for the mother.
