Description
Overview of the medicine

Mechanism of Action
Mebeverine directly acts on the smooth muscle of the gastrointestinal tract, primarily in the colon, without affecting normal gut motility. It is thought to reduce muscle spasms by blocking calcium channels in smooth muscle cells, leading to muscle relaxation and relief from cramps.
