Nevola 50 mg Tablet is a medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) by selectively dilating peripheral blood vessels, which helps to lower blood pressure and reduce the workload on the heart.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial dose: 50 mg once daily. May be increased to 100 mg once daily if needed, based on clinical response and tolerability.
Elderly
Initial dose: 25 mg once daily, titrate carefully upwards.
Renal_impairment
Initial dose: 25 mg once daily. Max 50 mg once daily for severe impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min).
How to Take
To be taken orally, preferably at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Mechanism of Action
Nevola acts as a selective peripheral vasodilator, directly relaxing the smooth muscles in the walls of blood vessels, particularly arterioles, leading to reduced peripheral vascular resistance and a subsequent decrease in blood pressure.
