Overview of the medicine
Novin-01 Nasal Drop contains Xylometazoline Hydrochloride, a topical decongestant that helps relieve nasal congestion associated with colds, allergies, and sinusitis.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
2-3 drops into each nostril, 2-3 times daily. Do not exceed 3 applications daily.
Elderly
Same as adult dosage, but use with caution in patients with underlying cardiovascular conditions.
Renal_impairment
No specific dosage adjustment required, minimal systemic absorption.
How to Take
For nasal use only. Blow your nose gently before applying. Tilt head back, apply drops into each nostril, and keep head tilted for a few moments.
Mechanism of Action
Xylometazoline is a sympathomimetic agent with alpha-adrenergic activity. It causes vasoconstriction of the nasal blood vessels, leading to a reduction in swelling and congestion.

Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to xylometazoline or any component

- Concomitant use with MAO inhibitors or within 14 days of stopping them
Drug Interactions
Tricyclic Antidepressants
Potentiation of pressor effects.
Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs)
Increased risk of hypertensive crisis.
