Description
Overview of the medicine
Pulmidone 267 mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to prevent and treat symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains a long-acting bronchodilator and an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One tablet (267 mg) once daily, preferably at the same time each day.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment is generally required for elderly patients; however, caution is advised due to potential age-related organ function decline.
Renal_impairment
No specific dosage adjustment is required for patients with mild to moderate renal impairment. Use with caution in severe renal impairment.
How to Take
Take the tablet whole with a glass of water, with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
Mechanism of Action
Respirolast, the active ingredient, works by relaxing the muscles in the airways, making them wider and easier to breathe through (bronchodilation), and by reducing inflammation in the lungs. This dual action helps to control symptoms like wheezing, shortness of breath, and coughing.

Bronchodilatory effect starts within 30-60 minutes.
Excretion
Excreted mainly through feces and urine as metabolites.
Half life
Approximately 12-15 hours.
Absorption
Rapidly absorbed after oral administration, with peak plasma concentrations achieved within 1-2 hours.
Metabolism
Primarily metabolized in the liver via CYP3A4 pathway.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include tachycardia, tremors, headache, and palpitations. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive. Monitor cardiac function and serum potassium levels.
Pregnancy & Lactation
