Pulmosis-534-mg-tablet is a novel respiratory modulator indicated for the management of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and severe asthma. It helps to improve lung function and reduce exacerbations.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One 534 mg tablet once daily, preferably in the evening.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment typically required, but monitor for adverse effects.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment needed for mild to moderate impairment; use with caution in severe impairment.
How to Take
Oral. Can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew.
Mechanism of Action
Pulmosis acts by selectively modulating inflammatory pathways in the airways, specifically targeting certain cytokines and chemokines involved in bronchoconstriction and mucus hypersecretion, leading to improved airflow.

Side Effects
Contraindications

Beta-blockers

CYP3A4 Inhibitors
Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, ritonavir) may increase plasma concentrations of Pulmosis. Monitor for increased adverse effects.
Storage

Overdose
Symptoms of overdose may include severe tremor, palpitations, tachycardia, and headache. Treatment is supportive and symptomatic.
