Naproxen non-selectively inhibits both cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzymes, which are responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid. Prostaglandins are mediators of pain, inflammation, and fever.

• •History of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs.
• •Active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic or renal impairment, severe heart failure.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms include drowsiness, heartburn, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain. Management includes symptomatic and supportive care. Gastric lavage and activated charcoal may be considered.

Pregnancy Category C (first and second trimesters), Category D (third trimester). Avoid in late pregnancy due to potential premature closure of fetal ductus arteriosus. Not recommended during breastfeeding as it is excreted in breast milk.
