Description
Overview of the medicine
Tricomix is a topical solution indicated for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (male and female pattern baldness). It stimulates hair growth by revitalizing hair follicles and improving blood flow to the scalp. The combination with Biotin and Multivitamins aims to provide additional nourishment for healthier hair.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Apply 1 ml of solution twice daily to the affected areas of the scalp. Ensure the scalp is dry before application. Do not exceed 2 ml per day.
Elderly
Same as adult dosage. No specific dose adjustment is typically required.
Renal_impairment
No dose adjustment required for topical application as systemic absorption is minimal.
How to Take
For external use only. Apply directly to the scalp. Wash hands thoroughly before and after application. Do not apply to other body parts.
Mechanism of Action
Minoxidil, a peripheral vasodilator, is thought to promote hair growth by increasing blood supply to hair follicles and enlarging their size, potentially prolonging the anagen phase of hair growth. Biotin and multivitamins provide essential nutrients for hair follicle health and keratin production.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
Hair regrowth typically seen after 2-4 months of consistent use.
Excretion
Primarily excreted renally.
Half life
Systemic half-life is approximately 22 hours, but local effect duration on scalp is longer.
Absorption
Minimally absorbed systemically (approximately 1.4% of topically applied dose).
Metabolism
Mainly metabolized by glucuronidation in the liver after systemic absorption.
Side Effects
Contraindications
- •Hypersensitivity to Minoxidil or any other components.
- •Patients with pheochromocytoma.

Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
