Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
For gallstone dissolution: 8-10 mg/kg/day, usually a single dose at bedtime or divided into 2-3 doses. For PBC: 13-15 mg/kg/day, usually divided into 2-4 doses.
Elderly
No specific dosage adjustment needed, but monitor liver function.

No dosage adjustment necessary as it's primarily excreted in bile/feces.
How to Take
Take with food or milk to optimize absorption. For gallstone dissolution, a single dose at bedtime is often recommended.
