Overview of the medicine
Unilor 5 mg Tablet is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms associated with allergic conditions such as seasonal allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
One 5 mg tablet once daily.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment generally required, but caution is advised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
Renal_impairment
For patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 mL/min), the recommended initial dose is 5 mg every other day.
How to Take
May be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Mechanism of Action
Unilor selectively antagonizes peripheral H1 histamine receptors, thereby preventing the effects of histamine which include itching, sneezing, rhinorrhea, and watery eyes.
