Flavoxate Hydrochloride directly acts as a smooth muscle relaxant on the urinary tract. It inhibits phosphodiesterase and exerts anticholinergic (antimuscarinic) effects, which lead to relaxation of the detrusor muscle of the bladder, thereby reducing spasms, urgency, frequency, and bladder pain.

• •Hypersensitivity to Flavoxate or any component of the formulation.
• •Obstructive conditions of the gastrointestinal tract (e.g., pyloric or duodenal obstruction, obstructive intestinal lesions, achalasia, gastrointestinal hemorrhage).
• •Obstructive uropathies of the lower urinary tract.
• •Glaucoma.

Store in a cool, dry place, below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms of overdose may include severe anticholinergic effects (e.g., blurred vision, severe dry mouth, flushing, tachycardia, urinary retention, CNS excitement). Treatment is primarily supportive, with gastric lavage and symptomatic measures as needed.

Pregnancy Category B. Studies in animals have not shown harm, but human data is limited. Use only if clearly needed and benefits outweigh potential risks. Excretion into breast milk is unknown; use with caution in nursing mothers.
