Uses & Indications

1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed, not exceeding 8 tablets in 24 hours.

Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) works primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, leading to analgesic and antipyretic effects. Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant that enhances the analgesic effect of paracetamol and helps to alleviate fatigue and drowsiness associated with pain.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
Paracetamol: 30-60 minutes. Caffeine: 15-45 minutes.
Excretion
Both are primarily excreted in the urine as metabolites.
Half life
Paracetamol: 1-4 hours. Caffeine: 3-7 hours.
Absorption
Both paracetamol and caffeine are rapidly and almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract after oral administration.
Metabolism
Paracetamol is primarily metabolized in the liver (glucuronidation, sulfation, and oxidation). Caffeine is extensively metabolized in the liver by cytochrome P450 enzymes.
