Overview of the medicine
Vitigo is an oral medication indicated for the treatment of non-segmental vitiligo in adult and adolescent patients.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10 mg orally once daily. May be increased to 20 mg once daily based on response and tolerability.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment required, but monitor for adverse effects.
Renal_impairment
For moderate renal impairment, reduce dose to 5 mg once daily. Not recommended for severe renal impairment.
How to Take
Take orally with or without food. Swallow whole, do not crush or chew.
Mechanism of Action
Vitigo works by selectively inhibiting the Janus Kinase (JAK) pathway, which is involved in the pathogenesis of vitiligo by mediating inflammatory responses that lead to melanocyte destruction.

Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
No specific antidote. Management of overdose should include general supportive measures and monitoring of vital signs. Hemodialysis may not be effective in removing Vitigo.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Not recommended during pregnancy due to potential fetal harm. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception. Avoid breastfeeding during treatment and for at least 28 days after the last dose.
