Admira MR is a modified-release formulation of Tizanidine, indicated for the relief of muscle spasm.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initially, 2 mg once daily, gradually increasing as needed, not to exceed 6 mg daily.
Elderly
Start with the lowest effective dose and titrate slowly.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution; start with a low dose.
How to Take
Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew.
Mechanism of Action
Tizanidine is an alpha2-adrenergic agonist and presumably reduces spasticity by increasing presynaptic inhibition of motor neurons.
