Description
Overview of the medicine
Bilastine 10 mg tablet is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis (e.g., sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, nasal congestion) and chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives).
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
10 mg once daily.
Elderly
No dose adjustment is required for elderly patients.
Renal_impairment
No dose adjustment is required in patients with renal impairment.
How to Take
Oral administration. Take the tablet one hour before or two hours after food or fruit juice.
Mechanism of Action
Bilastine is a non-sedating, long-acting H1-receptor antagonist. It selectively binds to peripheral H1 receptors, thereby inhibiting the effects of histamine and reducing allergic symptoms.
