How to Take

Mechanism of Action
Fexofenadine works by selectively blocking histamine H1-receptors, preventing the action of histamine which is responsible for allergic reactions. It is a non-sedating second-generation antihistamine.

Contraindications

Aluminum and Magnesium-containing Antacids
May decrease the absorption of fexofenadine. Administer at least 2-4 hours apart.
Storage

Overdose
In case of overdose, symptomatic and supportive treatment should be initiated. Fexofenadine is not effectively removed by hemodialysis. No specific antidote is available.
