Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Not typically used as 100 mg suspension for adults; usually 200-400 mg tablets. For children: 8 mg/kg/day orally in a single dose or two divided doses for 7-14 days.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment necessary in elderly patients with normal renal function. Monitor renal function.
Renal_impairment
Dosage adjustment required. For creatinine clearance <60 mL/min, reduce dosage and monitor closely.
