Take orally, preferably with food, for optimal absorption. Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew.

Cefuroxime Axetil is a bactericidal antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), leading to bacterial cell lysis and death.

• Hypersensitivity to cefuroxime or any other cephalosporin antibiotics.
• History of severe hypersensitivity (e.g., anaphylactic reaction) to any other type of beta-lactam antibacterial agent (e.g., penicillins).

Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

Symptoms of overdose include convulsions, encephalopathy, and neuro-muscular excitability. Treatment is symptomatic and supportive; hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis may be considered.

Pregnancy Category B. Use with caution during pregnancy if clearly needed. Excreted in low concentrations in breast milk, generally considered safe but monitor infant for potential adverse effects (e.g., diarrhea, candidiasis).
