Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
600 mg orally every 12 hours for 10-14 days, depending on the infection type and severity.
Elderly
No dosage adjustment is generally required based on age alone, but caution with renal impairment.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment for mild to moderate renal impairment. For severe impairment, monitor closely; consider reducing dose for prolonged use.
How to Take
Take the tablet orally, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew.
Mechanism of Action
Linlid acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth and multiplication of susceptible bacteria.

Side Effects
Contraindications

Drug Interactions
MAO Inhibitors
Concurrent use may lead to hypertensive crises or serotonin syndrome due to Linlid's weak MAO inhibitory activity.
Adrenergic agents
Caution with sympathomimetic agents (e.g., pseudoephedrine) due to potential for increased blood pressure.
Serotonergic agents
Increased risk of serotonin syndrome with SSRIs, SNRIs, tricyclic antidepressants, etc.
Storage
Store below 30°C in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
Overdose
In case of overdose, supportive care and symptomatic treatment should be initiated. There is no specific antidote. Hemodialysis may remove some of the drug.
