Miclo (Miconazole) is an antifungal cream used to treat various fungal skin infections, including athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and candidiasis.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Apply a thin layer to the affected area and its immediate surroundings twice daily (morning and evening). Rub in gently. Continue treatment for at least 2 weeks after symptoms disappear.
Elderly
Same as adult dosage.
Renal_impairment
No dosage adjustment required for topical application.
How to Take
For external use only. Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly before applying the cream. Apply a thin layer and rub gently. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth.
Mechanism of Action
Miconazole inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol in fungi, which is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane, leading to increased cell permeability and leakage of cellular components.
