Moxifloxacin 0.5% Ophthalmic Solution is an antibiotic eye drop used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis and other susceptible superficial ocular bacterial infections.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Instill one drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times a day for 7 days.
Elderly
No specific dosage adjustment required.

How to Take
For ophthalmic use only. Tilt head back, pull down the lower eyelid, instill one drop, then gently close the eye. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or any other surface to prevent contamination.
Mechanism of Action
Moxifloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination, leading to bacterial cell death.
