Description
Overview of the medicine
Sinapol 120 mg Suspension contains Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic, used to relieve mild to moderate pain and reduce fever in children.
Uses & Indications

How to Take
Oral. Administer with or without food. Use a measuring spoon or oral syringe for accurate dosing.
Mechanism of Action
Paracetamol is thought to act primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system, which helps reduce pain and fever. It also produces antipyresis by acting centrally on the hypothalamic heat-regulating center.
Pharmacokinetics
Onset
Within 30-60 minutes for analgesia, 30 minutes for antipyresis.
Excretion
Mainly excreted in the urine as glucuronide and sulfate conjugates, with a small amount excreted unchanged.
Half life
Approximately 1-3 hours in adults.
Absorption
Rapidly and almost completely absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, with peak plasma concentrations occurring within 30-60 minutes.
Metabolism
Primarily metabolized in the liver by conjugation with glucuronic acid and sulfate, and to a lesser extent by the cytochrome P450 enzyme system to a toxic intermediate (NAPQI) which is detoxified by glutathione.
