Administer intravenously over 30-60 minutes. Do not administer as a bolus injection. Reconstitute with appropriate diluent (e.g., Water for Injection) as per manufacturer's instructions. Ensure aseptic technique.

Spectramycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing peptide chain elongation and bacterial growth.

Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from direct light and moisture. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach and sight of children. Reconstituted solution should be used immediately or within 6 hours if refrigerated.

In case of overdose, discontinue the drug immediately and provide symptomatic and supportive treatment. There is no specific antidote. Hemodialysis may be considered in severe cases to aid in drug removal from the bloodstream.

Pregnancy Category B. Studies in animals have shown no evidence of harm to the fetus, but adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women are lacking. Use with caution during pregnancy if clearly needed. Spectramycin is excreted in breast milk; use with caution during lactation after assessing potential risks vs. benefits.
