Overview of the medicine
Todol 60 mg Injection contains Ketorolac Tromethamine, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for the short-term management of moderately severe acute pain.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial dose 30 mg or 60 mg IM/IV, then 15-30 mg every 6 hours as needed, not exceeding 120 mg/day for IM/IV. Treatment duration should not exceed 5 days.

Lower initial doses (e.g., 15 mg IM/IV every 6 hours) and reduced maximum daily dose (e.g., 60 mg/day).
Renal_impairment
Reduced dosage recommended (e.g., 15 mg every 6 hours), not exceeding 60 mg/day. Contraindicated in severe renal impairment.
How to Take
Administered intramuscularly (IM) or intravenously (IV). For IV administration, it should be given over at least 15 seconds.
Mechanism of Action
Ketorolac inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by irreversibly blocking cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby exerting its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic effects.

Within 30 minutes (IM/IV)
Excretion
Mainly renal (over 90%), some fecal.
Half life
Approximately 4-6 hours
