Description
Overview of the medicine
Xerosec contains Secnidazole, an anti-protozoal agent effective against various anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, including Giardia lamblia and Entamoeba histolytica. It is used to treat giardiasis, amoebiasis, and bacterial vaginosis.
Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Amoebiasis: 2 g as a single dose. Giardiasis: 2 g as a single dose. Trichomoniasis: 2 g as a single dose. Bacterial Vaginosis: 2 g as a single dose.
Elderly
Dosage adjustment usually not required, but use with caution.

How to Take
Oral administration. Tablets should be taken with food to minimize gastrointestinal upset. May be crushed and mixed with liquid or soft food for easier ingestion.
