Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Initial dose: 5-10 mg once daily. Maximum dose: 40 mg once daily.
Elderly
Initial dose: 5 mg once daily.
Renal_impairment
Use with caution. Initial dose: 5 mg once daily.
How to Take
Take orally once daily, with or without food.
Mechanism of Action
Rosuvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, an enzyme involved in cholesterol synthesis, thus lowering LDL cholesterol levels.
