Uses & Indications
Dosage
Adults
Generally not applicable for typical adult dosing, primarily used in pediatric patients. For specific adult indications, follow physician's advice.
Elderly
No specific dose adjustment is generally required unless severe renal or hepatic impairment is present.
Children
For otitis media and respiratory tract infections: 10 mg/kg orally once daily for 3 days, or 10 mg/kg on Day 1 followed by 5 mg/kg on Days 2-5.
Renal_impairment
No dose adjustment for mild to moderate renal impairment; caution advised in severe impairment.
How to Take
Administer orally, with or without food. Shake the bottle well before each use to ensure proper mixing.

Side Effects
Contraindications
- •Known hypersensitivity to antif, azithromycin, or any other macrolide or ketolide antibiotic.
- •History of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with prior macrolide use.
Drug Interactions
Warfarin
May increase the anticoagulant effect, leading to an elevated INR (International Normalized Ratio).
Nelfinavir
Coadministration may result in increased serum concentrations of Antif.
Cyclosporine
Antif may increase cyclosporine levels; monitor cyclosporine concentrations if coadministered.
Antacids (containing aluminum or magnesium)
Can decrease the absorption of Antif; administer Antif at least 2 hours before or 4 hours after antacids.
Storage
Store the dry powder below 30°C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Reconstituted suspension should be stored at room temperature (20-25°C).
Overdose
In case of overdose, gastric lavage and general supportive measures are recommended. Monitor cardiac function and vital signs.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy Category B. Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Antif is excreted into breast milk; caution should be exercised when administering to a nursing mother.
